Our project titled Venus is under the linguistic blocked! with reference number 2023-1-FR02-KA153-YOU-000120969, in the scope of the Erasmus plus program, was approved on 23 May 2023.

If we need to talk about the content of our project in detail; our project was carried out in France with the participation of Turkey, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Czech Republic. Our project started on 02.02.2024 and ended on 09.02.2024.

If we come to the subject of our project; as a result of social research, it has been determined that the underlying cause of many problems is sexism. It is also known that societies living in patriarchal order exhibit more sexist behaviors and marginalize women. Societies oppress women in many ways. They also have many tools they can use for this oppression. In some of the gender studies conducted from past to present, women have been identified with nature and men with culture. Especially in mythological sources, this identification has led to the assimilation of women to Venus and men to Mars. In societies where decisions are made by people with a patriarchal mentality acting with this mindset, events that can create problems for all genders occur and cannot be prevented. Our main goal was to ensure that women have the freedom to dress freely and walk freely on the street whenever they want without being subjected to any verbal or physical harassment, to create the idea that the time spent on housework should be done jointly, not only by women, to prevent women in the working order from being bullied in the workplace, to put an end to all forms of mobbing, to raise awareness of those who think they can say anything to female employees and make them do it, to start the 'Neutral Language' movement, especially in terms of sexism in language.

Our goals for the project were to create social awareness and to initiate the 'Neutral Language' movement, to create new words to replace sexist discourses in many languages and to support their use, to conduct research on 'Neutral Language', to ensure that such sexist discourses, attitudes and behaviors are controlled in different environments, especially in official institutions such as workplaces, to attract the attention of decision-making institutions and organizations.
